Placing and Managing Holds

Desktop/Laptop Browser

Go to www.linkcat.info on a desktop or laptop.

After searching LINKcat, click the Place Hold button for a single title. To select multiple titles, check the boxes next to each title, and go to Actions, Place Hold(s). Then:

  • Log in to your account, if prompted.
  • Change pickup library if desired.
  • Click Place Hold(s).

Viewing your holds

In the upper right-hand corner choose My Account. Click the Holds tab, then Library Holds or Digital Holds.

Editing pickup locations

Select one or more holds using the checkboxes, and click Edit Pickup Location(s). In the pop-up, select a new pickup location and click Change, then click OK.

Suspending your holds

Going to be unavailable or out of town? Suspend your holds so you don’t miss them.

Select one or more holds using the checkboxes, and click Edit/Suspend Hold(s). In the pop-up box, enter the date upon which you want your hold to resume. Click Suspend.

Resuming your holds

Select one or more holds using the checkboxes, and click Cancel Hold Suspension(s). Click Yes in the pop-up box.

Canceling your holds

Select one or more holds using the checkboxes, and click Cancel Hold(s).

Mobile Browser

Go to www.linkcat.info on a phone or tablet.

After searching LINKcat, tap the three dots to the right of the title, and choose Place Hold. Then:

  • Log in to your account, if prompted.
  • Change pickup library if desired.
  • Tap Place Hold.
  • Tap Okay.

Viewing your holds 

In the upper right-hand corner tap the three lines. Choose My Account, Holds, and then choose Library Holds or Digital Holds.

Editing pickup locations

Tap the three dots to the right of the title and select Edit Pickup Location. Select a new location and tap Save, then tap Okay.

Suspending your holds

Going to be unavailable or out of town? Suspend your holds so you don’t miss them. 

Tap the three dots to the right of the title and select Edit/Suspend Hold. Tap the Set an end date box to enter the date upon which you want your hold to resume, then tap Okay.

Resuming your holds

Tap the three dots to the right of the title and select Cancel Hold Suspension. Tap Yes in the pop-up box.

Canceling your holds

Tap the three dots to the right of the title and select Cancel Hold. Tap Yes in the pop-up box.
